Shared by Penelope DeLeon Superintendent Student Progress toward Goals: District Goal 1: Student Achievement: GUSD continues to make progress toward meeting District Goals and Strategic Initiatives with Penelope DeLeon Superintendent, at the helm. Goal One: Student Achievement states specifically: prepare students for Career and College readiness, ensuring that every student is challenged to successfully access rigorous curricula and 21st Century learning strategies that lead to tangible post-secondary outcomes.   This week’s progress update is connected to Strategic Initiative 1.3:  Provide a coherent, Multi-Tiered System of Support that focuses on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success for all students, including English Learners, students with disabilities, socio-economically disadvantaged students, gifted and talented and other targeted subgroups to close the achievement, opportunity, and access gaps to meet high expectations.  On Thursday evening, March 24, GUSD’

Weekly Updates on Progress Toward District Goals: GUSD is going to report progress toward meeting the District Goals and Strategic Initiatives each Wednesday on social media and on Friday through the Weekly Memo to Families.  Our team is committed to making progress for every student and supporting staff along the way. PTA Reflection Winners: Students throughout the district were honored by PTA, the School Board, and Superintendent DeLeon for their participation in and winning the PTA Reflections art competition.  Athletics Recognition: Ninth grade, GHS student, Samantha S. was recognized at the school board meeting on Monday for her exceptional performance in wrestling. Considering she has only been wrestling for 7 months, she had an outstanding record of 24-5 earning her the title of league champion, CIF MVP, and a coveted spot in the state comp

Glendora Unified School District Goals and Strategic Initiatives: Over the course of the next several weeks, we will be highlighting our progress toward the District/LCAP Goals and recognizing all of the hard work of our incredible GUSD staff and students toward accomplishing them. There will be no distinction between vaccinated and unvaccinated students regarding the state masking poli
